APUSENI - ARIESENI / Guesthouse MARY

A new, special guesthouse, located close to the Aries river, in a quiet, green place, is at your disposal for a relaxing stay far away from the urban stress.
The architecture, perfectly integrated in the mountainous landscape by the traditional lines and by the wood, used as predominant construction material, demarcates a comfortable, intimate space.
The closed veranda at the first floor offers you the beautiful panorama of the typical mountain village, surrounded by fir forests. The rooms are large, spacious, the entire house shines of cleanliness and the American styled kitchen with dining place is the perfect space for enjoying breakfast while your hostess is cooking traditional dainties for you or for clanging glasses with Mr. Gheorghe, who will reveal to you all the wonderful secrets of the woods.
The guesthouse Mary is eagerly waiting for its guests and it will surely persuade them to come back!

Access by car: arriving on the DN75 road from Campeni to Stei, about 1,6 km from the entrance to Arieseni, cross the bridge over Cobles river (on the main road) and continue for about 200m; park your car and cross Aries river to the left, over a little wooden bridge. The guesthouse is about 50m far from the Aries river.
Note: you cannot cross the second bridge by car; as it is only for pedestrians

A C T I V I T I E S

	- trip to the Varciorog waterfall
	- visit to the Groapa Ruginoasa ("the Rusty Pit") and to the Scarisoara cave
	- visits to local craftsmen (traditional smithy workshop, Patrahaitesti)
	- initiation in preparing traditional gems and syrups
	- hiking to the Curcubata Mare mountain top (1849m) and visits at local peasant households ("hodai")
	- rides in a horse-drawn cart and, during winter, ski and rides in a horse-drawn sleigh
